Special Parent Series: Episode 225 with “Anne”
For the entire month of May, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Joanna is bringing you a special parent series, where she interviews parents whose children have overcome a variety of mental health challenges. While Anne’s son struggled throughout childhood, by the time he was 16, Anne and her husband knew that they weren’t going to be able to provide the type of support he needed and that it was time to do something different. On today’s episode of Success is Subjective, Anne sits down with Joanna and describes vulnerably how hard it was to admit that sending her son away was the best decision for him. She explains the significant improvement he has made since then, and tells of his upcoming plans to go to college.
