Special Parent Series: Episode 226 with "Lisa"

Joanna Lilley, MA, NCC Season 3 Episode 226

For the entire month of May, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Joanna is bringing you a special parent series, where she interviews parents whose children have overcome a variety of mental health challenges. With academic achievement in high school and remaining a starting player on his sporting teams, Lisa’s son was an outward face of success in his community. Yet at the same time, anxiety and depression were starting to dominate his private life and robbing him of the ability to take care of himself. Before the end of senior year, leading up to graduation, Lisa’s son had to go on medical leave from school. It was then that the entire family knew that something needed to change and quickly. On today’s episode of Success is Subjective, Lisa shares what decision was made in order to help her son and provides a hopeful update on how he is currently doing.
